Discourse Analyzer Advanced is a complete AI-powered research assistant built for deep, multi-source discourse analysis. You can create and manage multiple research projects, each with several sources such as text, images, audio, YouTube videos, or web pages, depending on your plan. The platform offers a range of AI models and specialized analysis tools, letting you explore themes, sentiment, argument structure, social context, and more. You can blend in real-time web search, manage notes, and export results. All features work on a secure, credit-based system with strict privacy controls. Discourse Analyzer Advanced is designed for users who need powerful, flexible, and comprehensive analysis capabilities for serious research.
Accessing Discourse Analyzer Advanced #
You can access Discourse Analyzer Advanced in two ways:
- From the main menu, click on “My Projects“.
- Or, from Discourse Analyzer Simple, click the “Advanced” button located under the tool selection panel.
Managing Your Projects #

On the My Projects page, you can view all your research projects, check your project usage, and create a new project by clicking the “Create New Project” button. Give your project a name and an optional description, then click “Save Project” to get started.
Inside Your Project: Main Workspace Overview #
When you enter a new project, you’ll see a workspace divided into key areas. On the left, your sources will appear after you add them. In the center, you’ll find a list of available tools, options to upload sources, select analysis models, and start your research. The right panel is dedicated to your notes. Here, you can take notes as you work, then generate a summary or a report based on all your notes. Notes are central to your project.
Adding a Source: Types and Requirements #

To begin, click the Add button in the Sources panel. You have several options for adding sources:
- Upload a File: Upload PDF, TXT, Markdown, MP3, or image files by dragging and dropping or selecting them from your device.
- Paste Text: Copy and paste any text into the field.
- Add a Website Link: Enter the URL of a public website. Articles behind paywalls or login requirements aren’t supported.
- Add a YouTube Link: Enter the link to a public YouTube video. Private, unlisted, or draft videos aren’t supported.
The number of sources you can add depends on your selected plan. For details, visit discourseanalyzer.com/pricing/.
All added sources will appear in your workspace, ready for analysis.
Enabling or Disabling Sources #

After adding sources, you can enable or disable each one using the switch next to it. Only enabled sources are sent with your prompt for analysis. The more sources you enable, the longer the AI may take to respond because of increased complexity and context length.
You can add large sources, but the total combined content can’t exceed 1 million tokens. This is a very high limit, equivalent to the length of several large novels.
Caching System #

To enhance performance and reduce credit usage, a caching system is available for larger projects. Activation is optional.
- Eligibility: The caching option becomes available when your project’s total source tokens reach 32,000.
- Function: When you activate caching, the analysis data is stored for 15 minutes. This speeds up repeated prompts on the same content.
- Cost: Enabling cache will use a set number of credits. The cost and duration are shown before you activate it.

For more details, visit discourseanalyzer.com/caching.
Technical Support #

If you experience any technical issues, errors, or problems, contact technical support right away. Click the Technical Support button at the bottom left of your screen to reach our team through Messenger. We’re here to help you resolve any issues as quickly as possible.
Workspace Center: Tools and Actions #
The center of your workspace is where you control your research and analysis. Here, you can select the analysis model, activate the web search tool to connect with Google search, choose from a list of available tools, and enter commands or questions. You can also download your results in PDF or Word format. All main actions for starting and managing your analyses are available in this area.
Analysis Models Overview #
Your workspace offers a range of analysis models, from lightweight exploration to advanced synthesis:
- Explorer Lite is the entry-level model. It’s best for quick, simple exploration and basic analysis of your sources.
- Analyst Core provides standard analysis functions. Use it when you need reliable, general-purpose analysis for most research tasks.
- Investigator Pro is a step up, offering professional-level investigation and deeper analytical capabilities for more detailed projects.
- Strategist Max delivers advanced strategies and in-depth analysis. Choose this model for complex research that requires a higher level of detail.
- Context Weaver (No Thinking) focuses on connecting and structuring your content, but does not add interpretation or reasoning.
- Context Weaver (Thinking) adds reasoning and interpretive thinking to the structuring process, offering more depth than the previous model.
- Visionary Apex is the most advanced model. It provides top-level insight, synthesis, and comprehensive analysis for demanding research projects.
Choosing the Right Model #
Each analysis model has its strengths. The best way to find out which one suits your needs is to test them yourself. Try different models on your project, compare their results, and see which one gives you the depth or speed you want. Don’t hesitate to get your hands dirty. Experiment and find out what works best for your research or workflow.
Search Feature #
The Search feature lets you bring fresh information from the web directly into your analysis. By toggling Search before you send your prompt, you unlock the ability to draw on up-to-date data from Google Search. The system doesn’t just collect snippets. Instead, the AI reviews, understands, and selects the most relevant content from several web pages, then presents it as a unified answer that makes sense in your context.
When you turn on Search, the AI instantly launches a real-time Google search using your prompt. It scans the top results, filters out what’s not useful, and pulls in only the most relevant details. If you already have sources in your project, the system blends this external information with your own data, enriching your results and giving you a more complete answer.
At the end of each response, you’ll find a list of clickable URLs showing exactly which web pages contributed to the answer. This keeps everything transparent and easy to check.
Keep in mind that using the Search feature consumes extra credits and is only active when you enable it manually. If you need outside information to support your research, this feature makes it simple and reliable.
Chat Area: Style and Best Use #
While the chat area looks like a regular chat interface, its purpose is different. This space is designed to help you work efficiently by focusing on research, analysis, and targeted problem-solving. The system is built to process specific questions, commands, and discourse analysis tasks, rather than engage in casual or emotional conversation.
To make the most of the platform, use the chat area as a workspace for action. Enter clear questions or instructions and direct the AI toward your research or analysis goals. This approach helps you benefit from the system’s strengths and keeps your work focused on results.
Credit System #

Discourse Analyzer Advanced uses a credit-based system to manage usage fairly and transparently. Credits are included with every monthly or yearly subscription, giving you flexibility based on your needs.
Credits are used for specific actions such as running analysis prompts, generating summaries and reports, enabling caching, and activating the search feature. The number of credits consumed depends on the AI model you select, the type of content (text uses fewer credits than audio), and the size of your sources and prompts.
Your current credit balance is always visible at the top of the page, so you can keep track easily. If your credits run low, you can top up or upgrade your subscription plan at any time.
Export Feature #

After you complete your analysis or generate a report, you can easily export your results. Just use the PDF or Word buttons to download your work in your preferred format. This makes it simple to save, share, or print your findings for future reference or collaboration.
Tool Selection: Free Mode vs. Tool Mode #

The platform offers two main ways to work: Free Mode and Tool Mode.
Free Mode is active when you leave the selector on “– Choose a Tool –.” Here, you can type any analysis question or task, and the system will decide the best way to approach it using your chosen model. Use this mode when your request doesn’t fit a specific tool or when you want flexibility. The AI focuses on discourse analysis and linguistics, so it won’t respond to unrelated topics.
Tool Mode is active when you select a tool from the dropdown menu. Each tool is designed for a particular type of analysis, such as identifying themes, analyzing structure, or exploring visual discourse. When you use Tool Mode, your prompt becomes even more important. You can use your prompt to refine, direct, or add value to the analysis. For example, you might tell the tool which aspects to focus on, what method to apply, or which details matter most for your research. This helps you get more targeted and relevant results.
You’ll find a broad range of tools for themes, structure, argumentation, context, language, genre, visual analysis, and more. Prompts in Tool Mode give you precise control, letting you shape each analysis to fit your exact needs. If you’re not sure which tool to use, try different options and see which one gives you the insight you need.
Prompt Bar: How to Use It #

The prompt bar is where you enter your questions, instructions, or analysis tasks. It’s designed for action, not small talk. Use this space to guide the AI toward your specific needs, whether you’re running a free-form analysis in Free Mode or directing a tool in Tool Mode.
Be clear and direct in your prompts. Ask for a certain method, highlight details to focus on, or specify the type of analysis you want. The more precise your prompt, the more relevant and valuable the AI’s response will be. This is your workspace for shaping each analysis to fit your goals.
Generate Note Feature #

The Generate Note feature lets you use AI to quickly create different types of notes. You can enter a prompt if you want to specify the note’s type or content, such as a to-do list, a summary, or any other kind of note. Adding a prompt is optional, and the AI can still create a useful note if you leave the field blank.

After your note is generated, you can add it to the notes panel on the right side of your workspace with a single click by pressing the Add Note button. This helps you collect, organize, and refer back to important points as you work.
Assistant Panel: Notes, Summaries, and Reports #

The Assistant Panel on the right side of your workspace is your main area for note-taking and organizing your insights. Here, you can add, edit, or delete notes as you work. Each note can have a title and formatted content, making it easy to organize your thoughts or important findings.
You’ll also see two key buttons at the top: Generate Summary and Generate Report. The Generate Summary button creates a concise summary of all your notes, helping you capture the main points quickly. The Generate Report button produces a detailed report based on the full content of your notes. Both features use AI to organize and present your information clearly.
All your notes stay in this panel for easy access, and you can edit or update them at any time. This setup keeps your research organized and ensures nothing important gets lost as you move through your project.
