Discourse Analyzer Simple is your starting point for quick and flexible discourse analysis. Here’s how to get started:
Tool Selection Panel #

On the homepage, you’ll see the tool selection panel. By default, “Ask Me Anything About Discourse Analysis” is selected. This tool lets you ask open-ended questions and run any analysis related to discourse analysis or linguistics. You have full freedom to explore the field. Just enter your question or command and the AI will provide insights. Note that this tool is focused on discourse analysis and will not handle topics outside of that area.
Switching Between Simple and Advanced Tools #
Below the selection box, you’ll see buttons for “Simple” and “Advanced.” The highlighted button shows which tool you’re using. To switch to Discourse Analyzer Advanced, just click “Advanced” and you’ll be redirected. We’ll cover the advanced features in the next section.
Overview of the Discourse Analyzer Simple Interface #
This is the main interface of Discourse Analyzer Simple.
At the top, you’ll see the Discourse Analyzer mascot. On the right, you can select your preferred language (English is selected by default).
The large box in the center is where you can ask a question, give a command, or paste a text for analysis. The AI will analyze your input and provide insights related to discourse analysis.
Below the input box are two key options:
- Search Level: By default, Search is set to “Off.” You can change this to Quick Search, Balanced Search, or Detailed Search, depending on how much web context you want to include in your analysis.
- AI Model: “Core Insight” is the default model. You can choose from several models under two categories:
Creative Flow Models: Swift Scribe (Free), Core Insight
Cognitive Depth Engines: Rapid Inference, Analytical Mind, Discourse Titan, Insight Forge (Premium)
When you’re ready, click the Run Prompt button to submit your question or command and receive your analysis results. Select your preferred search level and model before running your prompt to customize your analysis.
Checking Your Credit Balance #
Using Specialized Tools (Example: Text and Theme Analysis) #
This display shows how many credits you have left on your account. Each analysis, search, or report you run will use credits. Your credit balance lets you know how much more you can do before you’ll need a top-up or wait for your next monthly or yearly credit renewal, depending on your plan.
This is the interface for a specific tool in Discourse Analyzer Simple, such as Text and Theme Analysis.
- At the top, you’ll see the tool name.
- Below the mascot and language selector, there’s a large text box where you can paste the text you want analyzed.
- Under the input box, you can set the Search Level (for including web context) and pick the AI model (Core Insight by default, with others available).
- For specialized tools like this, you’ll also see a dropdown labeled “How do you want to analyze your text?” Here, you can select the specific type of analysis or question you want the AI to address, such as identifying dominant themes or attitudes in the text.
- When you’re ready, click Run Prompt to get your results.
This setup helps you tailor the analysis to your needs before submitting your text.
Visual Discourse Analysis Tool #
This is the Visual Discourse Analysis tool in Discourse Analyzer Simple.
- At the top, you’ll see the tool’s name and a mascot.

- Use the main input box to ask a question or give a command about your image.
- Below the input box, you can set the Search Level and pick your AI model, just like in other tools.
- Click Upload the image you want to analyze to select an image file for analysis.
- Use the dropdown menu to specify how you want to analyze your image (for example, “Visual Semiotic Analysis: Examining the meanings of signs and symbols in the image”).
- When ready, submit your prompt to get your results.
This tool is designed for analyzing images using AI, focusing on discourse and visual meaning.
Response Time: Why Some Analyses Take Longer #
It’s completely normal for the AI to take extra time when answering your questions, especially if your prompt is long or you select an advanced model. Advanced models perform deeper analysis and complex calculations, so the AI may need more time to process your input and generate a detailed response. If you’re running a big analysis, just give it a moment. The system may take longer to complete complex tasks, depending on the size and complexity of your request.
Usage History: Tracking and Managing Your Analyses #
You can review all your previous interactions with Discourse Analyzer Simple by visiting the My Account page and selecting Usage History. This section displays a detailed log of every prompt you’ve run, including:
- Your original input (question, command, or text).
- The AI’s output/response.
- The AI model used for each analysis.
- The date and time of each action.
- How many tokens and credits were used per analysis.
Clicking on any entry will open a detailed view, showing all related information, including whether web search was enabled, total tokens, credits consumed, and more.
You also have the option to delete any analysis from your history with a single click. Deleted items are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
This feature gives you full transparency and control over your usage, so you can easily review, manage, or clean up your activity at any time.
Summary #
Discourse Analyzer Simple is designed for fast, focused analysis, not for casual chat. You choose your tool, select a model and search level, and submit your prompt.
