The Search feature in Discourse Analyzer Advanced lets you bring in fresh, real-world information from the web to support and enrich your analysis.
How Search Works #
- Manual Activation:
The Search option is always off by default. You must actively turn it on before submitting your prompt if you want to include external information. - Live Google Search:
When enabled, the AI instantly performs a real-time Google search based on the question or analysis you’ve entered. - Smart Filtering and Reading:
The system doesn’t just copy and paste results. Instead, it reads and evaluates the top web pages, filters out irrelevant content, and pulls out only the most useful and reliable information. - Integration with Your Data:
If you have project sources enabled (texts, PDFs, videos, etc.), the AI blends the new web info directly with your own sources to give you a more complete, context-aware answer. - Transparent References:
Every answer that includes web search data lists the URLs of the pages used, right at the bottom. You can click these links to review the original sources for yourself. This keeps the process clear and traceable.

- Extra Credits:
Using Search costs more credits than a regular analysis. The system notifies you of the credit usage before running the prompt. - Manual Use:
Search is only active when you enable it for a specific prompt. It never runs automatically, so you’re always in control. - Reference List:
You’ll always know where external information came from—no hidden sources or blind citations.
When to Use Search #
- When your own sources don’t have enough detail or context.
